Chillan House
The densely forested village of Las Trancas is dotted with awesome little private cabins. Our friend Gonzalo owns a few of the nice ones. Cabins for 2-6 people, each with their own unique charm, and of course, old school hot tubs heated by a wood burning stove.

Gran Casa Alvaro
For larger groups, Alvaro’s mountain chalet is perfect. With seven bedrooms and five bathrooms, this place can handle up to sixteen guests. The property is straight out of a scene from Yellowstone and Martha Stewart wouldn’t know where to begin with the kitchen and the multiple living rooms. There’s a grill inside and out, two fireplaces and central heating.

Roca Negra Mountain Lodge
There’s a section of Las Trancas called Shangri-La. If ever a place should be named for a fictional utopia in a peaceful valley, it’s here. Deep in the heart of this remote, isolated paradise surrounded by high mountain peaks is Roca Negra Mountain Lodge. Equipped with saunas, jacuzzies, a yoga room, a restaurant and a game room, you’ll enjoy a down day if you need it.

Onai Hostel
Probably the coolest place to stay in the sweetest ski town in the world. Owned and operated by the legendary Chilean freerider Chopo Diaz, Onai is not your average hostel. Nestled in the forest next to a river at the base of a huge mountain, you’ll think you died and went to Boho Heaven. The rooms are cozy, the decor is thoughtful and the vibe is excellent. One of the best kitchens on the planet and the most inviting, comfortable living room in hostel history.

Las Bravas Lodge
This recently constructed lodge is located in the main plaza in the center of town. The accomodations are perfect and everything you could ever need is right here. There are restaurants, bars, a ski shop, a bakery, a convenience store and more across the street. This is where the whole town comes together after long cold days at the mountain to share stories, food, drink and laughs. Owned and operated by a local family who love this little forest utopia as much as you’re going to.
